Sage Transform 2021 took place in Las Vegas this year. Wednesday kicked off the main conference with the opening general sessions keynote led by Dan Miller, Sage Intacct’s EVP. Dan, along with several other Sage business leaders, discussed the new and enhanced product functionality for the Sage Intacct product family of cloud ERP software.
The keynote presented Sage Intacct’s power to drive business transformation. Sage leaders described how finance teams can overcome obstacles to improve efficiency and effectiveness by using Sage’s cloud financial management software so their businesses can thrive.
Sage is helping small and medium-sized businesses not only survive in unprecedented times – but thrive. The work of finance teams is elevated by using technology to make their day-to-day tasks easier and more efficient.
Dan Miller stated: “We’ve seen digital transformation efforts accelerating as companies focus on returning to pre-pandemic growth levels. Sage continues to expand the capabilities of the Sage Intacct product family to streamline processes and improve business insight. This helps our customers focus more time on their company’s mission and making a difference in the lives of their customers, partners, and employees."
Sage leaders during the keynote focused on ways Sage Intacct helps finance leaders empower their teams, own their time, and grow their way.
Session Highlights
There were also a ton of great breakout sessions during the conference. Industry keynotes were among the more popular sessions, featuring special vertical-focused content for companies in a variety of industries. Some of these industries included Financial Services, Software/SaaS, Not-for-profit, Healthcare, Professional Services, and Wholesale Distribution/Supply Chain.
Customers could also participate in hands-on labs, to get in-depth training on Sage Intacct and the Sage Intacct family of products. Additionally, there were a variety of customer panel sessions to share best practices around how other companies are leveraging Sage Intacct.
Making a Difference – Sage Foundation
Another great thing taking place at Sage Transform is the work of the Sage Foundation. Stations were set up enabling attendees to give back to our troops and veterans by making ‘no-sew’ blankets and paracord bracelets in honor of Veteran’s Day.
The Sage Foundation partnered with the Soldier’s Angels, whose mission is to provide resources, comfort, and aid to military, veterans, and their families. Attendees could donate time or money to the cause, and the Sage Foundation is matching any contributions during the conference up to $5,000.
Baker Tilly X AcctTwo X Sage = Unlimited Possibilities
AcctTwo combined with Baker Tilly officially on October 1st of this year, making the Sage Transform conference the first major event sponsored and attended by the combined teams. Coupling that with the fact that this event was one of the first times we’ve had a chance to reconnect with our friends and colleagues at Sage (and many of the other Sage Intacct Marketplace Partners such as Bill.com, Emburse Nexonia, FloQast, Adra, Venn Technology, and more), this event was a great example of the power of both technology and person-to-person relationships. The continuing effects of the pandemic certainly affected in-person attendance to some degree, but in many ways that allowed the conversations we did have with colleagues, partners, and customers to be even more in-depth and meaningful. Attendance and participation at the many break-out sessions, including eight presentations given by our Baker Tilly colleagues, was inspiring.
What we learned over five days in Las Vegas is that technology advances from Sage and the Sage ecosystem is continuing to transform the finance and accounting function at growing companies and non-profits into a strategic business asset. We learned that the combination of AcctTwo and Baker Tilly is already an amazing cultural fit and will provide our customers with endless opportunities to grow. And we learned that nothing can quite replace the connections we make when a diverse group of people gets together with the common goal of constant improvement.
